Dictionary Definition
If you asked various experts what wellbeing means, they might all give you different answers that alludes to similar things. The dictionary definition refers to the state of being ‘comfortable, healthy or happy’. The mental health foundation define it more tangibly so it can be tracked. They quote the New Economics Foundation. ‘Wellbeing can be understood as how people feel and how they function, both on a personal and a social level, and how they evaluate their lives as a whole.” This does offer more as a definition but it still overcomplicates a very simple concept. We believe it should just be defined as improved mental and physical health.

How to Improve Wellbeing
Now we know what wellbeing means, we should discuss how to improve it. Mental health can be improved in many ways, but mindfulness and breathing exercises are the most accessible. They help to calm the brain, slow down thoughts and ground yourself in the present. Therapy and talking to friends are also valuable ways to improve mental health. Improving physical health is fairly well-known by now. Exercise! There are many forms of exercise that are effective. Running, lifting weights, sports ect. But we recommend yoga and mobility routines because they are also breathing exercises at the same time.
